Shirley Grant

Funeral services for Shirley Grant, 87, of Winnsboro will be 2 pm Friday, June 5, 2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Chase Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home.

Shirley was born December 7, 1938, to the union of the late Willard Fredrick Temple and the late Mamie Lois Stroud; and passed from this life on June 2, 2026, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.

Shirley enjoyed spending time hunting, canning, and was an exceptional seamstress.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark Thames; and four brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Jerry Lynn Thames, Susie Thames Newman, Patricia Thames Blackmon, Carl Ray Thames, Keitha Thames, and Angie Thames Barlow; one brother Tony Temple; two sisters: Beth Lowe and Sarah Yaqoob; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
