Sue Hale
Graveside services for Wanda Sue Hale Burt, 72, will be held at 3:33p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton; visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Dennard First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Sue was born July 1, 1952, in Newellton, to the late Wanda Jewel Dawson Hale and the late Edward Hale, she passed from this life August 2, 2024, in Meadow View Nursing and Rehabilitation in Minden.
Sue attended Newellton First Baptist; she dearly loved her canine friends Sugar and Cookie; she loved talking whether in person or on the telephone for hours; and most of all she loved her mother and brother, and her family.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents: Wanda Jewel Dawson Hale and Edward Hale; husband Ricky Burt; and her grandmother Gladys L. Dawson.
She is survived by her son Patrick Roberson (Maria); grandson Dawson Clyde Roberson; brother Thomas Edward Hale (Connie); nieces: Jennifer Hale Ellerbe (Ward) and Julie Diane Hale; nephew Thomas Eric Hale (Torie); great nieces: Allie Ellerbe McCann (Jackson), Kimberly Diane McDaniel (Austin), Sara-Kate Ellerbe, Addison Ellerbe, Colleen Faith Hale, Karsyn Paige Hale, Hadley Rose Hale, and Jordylynn Jewel Hale; great nephews: Thomas Chance-Baylee Hale and Brantley Beau Hale; great nieces and nephews: John William McCann, Kohyn Lane Jackson, and Adaline Claire Jackson; she is also survived by her sister-in-law, Connie Hale, extended family; and many other family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Bolden, Ed Ellerbe, Ron Hale, Bo Hankins, Roger Dale Hankins, and David Vinson.
