Private family services will be held at a later date at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Joe Law officiating for Kris Donnell, 68, of Gilbert.Kris was born October 21, 1955, to the union of the late Carl McMurry and the late Mildred Noble McMurry and passed from this life on April 16, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.Kris was a member of Souled Out Ministries. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years with Steve Thompson Trucking, Monroe Trucking and later at Total Plant Food. She loved children and truly enjoyed spending time her nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 47 years Tommy Thompson Donnell.Survivors left to cherish her memory include her son Nick Donnell, of Gilbert; one brother, Charles McMurry of Gilbert; and one sister, Sharon Ferrington of Gilbert; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.Online condolences may be made at www.dennardfirstnational.com .
