Funeral services for Mr. William Rickey Johnston, 74, of Winnsboro, LA will be 10 AM Friday, October 3, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. James Lee Busby officiating, interment to follow in Ogden Cemetery, visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday at Temple Baptist Church all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Rickey was born September 21, 1951, in Winnsboro to the union of the late W. H. Johnston and the late Sallie Ferguson Johnston, and passed away September 30, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Larry Heath.

Rickey is survived by his wife of 56 years Jean Johnston of Winnsboro, LA; two sons, Jeremy Johnston of Winnsboro, LA and Jason Johnston and his wife Erin of Abita Springs, LA; grandchildren, Grace Johnston, Maggie Willis, Cole Johnston (Sierra), Ellie Johnston and (Ben Easterling), Levi Johnston, and Miles Johnston; great grandchildren Amelia Jean Johnston, Atley Johnston, Adeline Johnston, and Willow Johnston.

Pallbearers are Cole Johnston, Jason Johnston, Jeremy Johnston, Levi Johnston, Miles Johnston, Danny Posey, and Craig Thomas

Honorary Pallbearer will be Marvin Parker, Ray Thomas, Deacons of Temple Baptist Church, and Former Kansas City Southern Railroad workers.
