Graveside services for William "Buster" Sanders, 86, of Winnsboro will be 2 pm Thursday May 30, 2019, in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with Billy Smith officiating under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Buster was born October 21, 1932, in Winnsboro to Pearl Brous Sanders and Irene Green Sanders; he passed from this life on May 25, 2019, at his residence in Winnsboro.
Buster was a Franklin Parish native. He worked and retired from DOTD as Engineering and Technician Specialist. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. His grandchildren were his greatest love.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Audrey McManus; brother Herman Ray Sanders, Sr.; nephews: Herman Ray Sanders, Jr. and Wesley McManus.
Survivors include his wife Annie Thornton Sanders of Winnsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Portia and John Graney of Winnsboro; grandchildren Amanda and Jarrod Flores of Winnsboro, Carissa and Lloyd Peoples of Baskin; great grandchildren: Hailey and Zach Smith of Winnsboro, Garrison Peoples of Ruston, Gabrielle Peoples of Baskin, Hannah and Hunter of Winnsboro, Thatcher Peoples of Winnsboro and Bryer Kate Flores, special friend and neighbor, Johnny and Linda Hart and Shondra.
