Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Willie Lea "Bill" Peoples,95, of Yellville, AR, formally of Winnsboro, LA, will be 11 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, at Winnsboro United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Floyd Hawthorne, Rev. Mark Powell, and Rev. Mike Ellis officiating, with interment to follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery Winnsboro, LA, visitation will be 10 AM until service time Friday at the Church, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Mrs. Willie Lea was born February 22, 1930, to the union of the late William Henry Hawthorne and the late Evon Weatherly Hawthorne. And was preceded in death by her husband, to Leslie T. Peoples, Sr. which she married March 16, 1946; two sisters: Juanita Halbrook and Eva Sikes; and one brother, Louis Hawthorne. She was a member of Landmark Church; Yellville, AR, Willie Lea was faithful to her church and her family and loved Canvas painting which enjoyed giving away.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Sharon Gooden her husband Donald Gooden of Monroe, LA, Jane Martin husband Jerry Martin of Winnsboro, LA, Nancy Price and her husband Larry Price of Yellville, AR, Leslie Peoples, Jr. his wife Karen Peoples of Yellville, AR, Kyle Peoples and his wife Beverly Peoples of Columbia, MS, Dana Parker and her husband Jimmy Parker of Bonner Springs, KS, seventeen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: James Hawthorne and wife Frances and A. J. Hawthorne and wife Dena all of Bastrop; five sisters: Jessie Vee Townsend of Winnsboro, Doris Sebold of Winnsboro, Joyce Heath and husband Jack of Winnsboro, Martha Yeats and husband Kenneth of Baton Rouge, and Helen Davis of Winnsboro; a host of other relatives and friends..

Pallbearers are David Gooden, Brenden Martin, Hunter Parker, Derek Peoples, Patrick Peoples, and Keith Price.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Gooden, Stephen Gooden, and Ryan Martin.
